Your Local Or International Business Needs to Have an Internet Website

Regardless of what type of business, your own website is a very strong marketing tool. Online promotion is a crucial component of any marketing plan and should not be discounted, or considered unnecessary. An attractive, well optimized website can be highly valuable for generating new customers and is an effective sales tool that works for you, even while you are elsewhere and doing something other than working on your business.

When you decide that it is time for you to get business web presence, then our task is to work out specifically what you want from your website visitors. Then you set in place, the structure that channels your online visitors, to take exactly that action. A single purpose website often delivers much greater success than a multipurpose site.

If you are not fully acquainted with the popular social networking and web 2.0 applications available online, or if you are not familiar with the more common and highly effective internet marketing and advertising strategies, then you are best to connect with people, who have more expertise in the field and benefit from guided or direct support.

Internet marketing refers to the strategies that are used to market a product or service online, these strategies include search engine optimization and submission, copywriting to encourage site visitors to take action, web site design strategies, online promotions, reciprocal linking, and email marketing, to just name a few of the bare essentials.

Matt Cutts answers Google questions: - Does Sitemaps depend on pageviews? - What are the top things to do in SEO? - How does Google decide to use a DMOZ snippet versus the description from a meta tag? - Should I use bold or strong tags? You will also enjoy the rest of Matt's video's at the same video site.

Traits Of Successful Social Media Marketers

Louis XIV visiting the Académie des sciences ... [Image] With many individuals finding great success with social media (and as an aside, a basic understanding of search engine optimization), they immediately consider themselves social media marketers and consultants (as well as seasoned SEOs) and offer to sell their promotional services. What skills, though, do successful social media marketers have that put these individuals above the average (or addicted) social media user, and better yet, above the traditional marketer? I asked several social media consultants, bloggers, marketers, search engine optimizers, and social media addicts about what they considered to be essential skills and characteristics of the most efficient and results-driven social media consultants. In the many paragraphs that follow, learn from many of the experts and hear what they consider success when using social media to engage with consumers about products and services.

Importance of good visibility in the search engines

Day 198 [Image] Like it or not, most people use search engines to find information on the web, and the search engine they use the most is Google. If your site cannot be found in the search engines, look what you may be missing out on:

* People who perform web searches follow up with an off-line action such as a visit to a store or a phone call at least 82% of the time. (TMP Directional Marketing)

* Of all in-store purchases made in key categories, 89% of them were made by people who had done research on the web prior to making their purchases. (BIGResearch)

Clearly, your business needs a web site that can be found in the search engines!

Google's Matt Cutts gives tips to small business owners

Rodney Bartlett interviews Google's Matt Cutts at Pubcon 2007 in Las Vegas. Matt had some excellent tips for small business owners and answered a few great questions.

If you want the focus on having your business web site found by your local community and not use bandwidth on having your site found by everyone in the world (though that will happen too, as a natural consequence of video marketing), then use the services of adsonvids.com.au

Blogs In Plain English

Are you still in the dark about blogs and blogging? This terrific short video will show you how blogs originated and what they're all about. It also outlines how you can use blogging to your advertising advantage, in your business.

The Common Craft Show is a series of short explanatory videos by Lee and Sachi LeFever. Their goal is to fight complexity with simple tools and plain language. They call their format "paperworks" and publish a new video about once a month.

Posting comments at other people's popular blogs can increase your web's traffic flow, and you can include a link to your adsonvids.com.au business page when commenting at those blogs.

Search Engines Have Systems In Place

Illustration of [Image] Since the web is such a commercial place, with so many parties interested in ranking well for particular searches, the engines have learned that they cannot always rely on websites to be honest about their importance. Thus, the days when artificially stuffed meta tags and keyword-rich pages dominated search results (pre-1998) have vanished and given way to search engines that measure trust via links and content. The theory goes that if hundreds or thousands of other websites link to you, your site must be popular, and thus, have value.
Is that still the case....?

This piece about Information Search Engines Can Trust, came from the Beginner's Guide to Search Engine Optimization, which is a fully downloadable book from which you can glean many SEO tips and a huge bank of SEO knowledge.

Josh Williams and the team at adsonvids.com.au save you personally needing to dig too deeply into such information. Hop over to their site and watch Josh's video about the adsonvids solution to 'taking care of business'.

[Image] After searching the web for information on Internet Marketing you eventually start to learn more and more and start to make sense of all the information that is out there, and you also get to know which Internet Marketers are worth listening to and which aren't.

One of my all time favorite resources in that area, is the Internet Marketing Experts Index from GuruDAQ.com (and they also have the Personal Development Guru Index).
GuruDAQ.com ranks Internet Marketing Gurus in a type of stock market format. Many people use this as a master list to make profitable contacts.

Speaking of profitable contacts ...allow the adsonvids.com.au crew to help you connect to businesses in your Perth locality.

Personal Touch Of Localized Search

The Perth skyline viewed from the Swan River [Image] We are already experiencing localized search. However, the personal search has not yet been that very personal. Personalized search will provide more reputation for websites which can influence search engine performance based on more quality visits with low bounce rate. Websites will figure out new offline ways to create more personal affiliation with the site to influence personalized search.

Localized search will provide marketers with the ability to influence people on the move to purchase. That way, the localized search may also change if a consumer changes location.

You're going to absolutely love what adsonvids.com.au is up to in Perth, with this aspect of online business community and search.

What Is Search Engine Optimization?

A typical search results page [Image] I won't be taking anything for granted with regard your background knowledge of internet marketing, nor internet terminology.

This is why I'd begin this blog with a description of what SEO (Search Engine Marketing) is. This next piece of text is from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. SEO can be approached in many ways, but the latest trend is Performance Based SEO.
Get yourself a linked page at adsonvids.com.au and you will never again be disappointed by the number of customers who will find you.
